“Sammy’s Introduction To Mindfulness course has made a very big difference in my life. I practice very regularly and it has created a shift in my mood and clarity that I didn’t know was possible. It is simple and effective.
I am so appreciative of your sharing and guidance.”
Have you ever sensed that, in the middle of overwhelm, pausing for even a moment could shift how you're showing up — for yourself and the world around you? And just as that insight hits, doubt and its crew of excuses show up, telling you there's no time for this.
Yup. Me too.
I work with parents, care givers, students, first responders, and other busy people curious about tending to their their minds but struggling to find the time.
It’s easy to lose ourselves in the juggle of managing daily demands—to feel there just isn’t enough time to get it all done. No time to slow down, check in, and take a look at what we are doing and how we are being.
When I was a young mother of three, though content being a mother, I noticed an increasing anxiety. Taking care of others felt like being on call, on guard all the time. As a result, I was overwhelmed, unaware of my own needs, and disconnected from myself.
In many ways I had abandoned the part of me that was a person in addition to being a caretaker.
As your mentor, I’ll share practical “tools” and frameworks for gradually building the habit of a regular meditation practice- often combining the practices of mindfulness, movement, and creativity. Together, we’ll build a path toward a more engaged life—one you don’t need to escape or feel overwhelmed by, but rather one you can navigate with greater skill and confidence.
Tending to our minds doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming— it’s a choice to begin, and the willingness to return— again and again.
When we mother our minds with kindness we meet our world with compassion.
